TYRANIDS

The Tyranids are an alien race from beyond the galaxy, and they strip the worlds they reach of every living thing. Each Tyranid is an organism created for a specific function, from the living ships of the hive fleets to weapons that are themselves symbiote creatures. No Tyranid possesses a mind of its own; every one is a small part of the hive mind, a single intelligence directing the entire race. Large creatures such as Tyranid Warriors and Hive Tyrants relay the hive mind's will to the lesser broods around them, and steer the swarms towards fresh genetic material.
